About The Position

Hospital Referral Services (HRS) is dedicated to assisting patients in unexpected hospital situations. They provide on-site screening to help uninsured or underinsured patients identify and apply for eligible assistance programs, including Medicaid. HRS aims to simplify the Medicaid process for patients so they can concentrate on their recovery. The company is seeking a self-motivated Onsite Medicaid Screening Representative to join their expanding team, emphasizing that a passion for helping people makes this a rewarding role. Requirements

Previous customer service experience preferred.
Must have basic computer skills.
Must be able to multitask and type minimum 40 WPM.
Must have reliable transportation.
Good attendance and dependability are essential.
Successful completion of drug and background test is required.
Annual Flu shots and TB testing is required.
Must have availability to work some holidays.

Nice To Haves

High volume of walking and standing. (70% - 80% of your shift)

Responsibilities

Review the hospital work queue or census to identify uninsured patients that are admitted to the Emergency Room.
Screen/Interview patient’s bedside in hospital setting to determine possible eligibility for any assistance programs available including Medicaid and charities.
Complete applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs as needed.
Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, hospital staff, and patients.
Abide by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patient’s privacy.
Meet production goals and objectives as assigned by hospital and management on a monthly basis.
Maintain confidentiality of account information at all times.
