About The Position

Hospital Referral Services has an opening in the Cleveland area for self-motivated professionals to join their growing team. This role involves screening and assisting patients in a hospital setting to determine their eligibility for assistance programs like Medicaid. The goal is to guide patients through the Medicaid process so they can focus on recovery. The company has been recognized as a Top Workplace for four consecutive years.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Good attendance and dependability are essential.
  • Successful completion of drug and background test required.
  • Annual Flu shots and TB testing required.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing the hospital work queue or census to identify uninsured patients.
  • Screening/Interviewing patient’s bedside in a hospital setting to determine possible eligibility for any assistance programs available including Medicaid and charity.
  • High volume of walking and standing. (70% - 80% of your shift)
  • Completing applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs as needed.
  • Maintaining a positive working relationship with co-workers, hospital staff and patients.
  • Abiding by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patients’ privacy.
  • Meeting production goals and objectives as assigned by hospital and management on a monthly basis.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of account information at all times.
