As the Claims Manager, you will lead a complex medical claim processing team, overseeing daily tasks, setting priorities, and coordinating activities to ensure timely completion. Leveraging your leadership experience, you'll guide and mentor team members, driving performance and adherence to company policies and procedures. Your expertise will significantly impact the team's effectiveness, fostering efficiency and driving operational success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Have three years of experience working in a healthcare support organization.
  • Possess excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment and be able to successfully deal with stress.
  • Show excellent client relationship skills.
  • Demonstrate leadership experience, effectively guiding and mentoring team members.
  • Display understanding and application of concepts in medical claims processing and basic knowledge of other disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a claims processing department to effectively and efficiently meet service level agreements.
  • Interacting with Department of Health and Human Services personnel concerning claims processing functions.
  • Driving special projects for corporate, operational, or client initiatives.
  • Ensuring that stated quality objectives are consistently achieved.
  • Updating various performance and status reports.
  • Providing active leadership for the staff of the claims processing department.
  • Conducting counseling sessions with employees who are not meeting the minimum requirement for their position.
  • Administering annual performance reviews with employees.
