About The Position

This is a temporary project role for a Medicaid Claims Business Analyst in Austin, TX, with an estimated duration of 12 months and possible extensions. The position is hybrid, requiring 2 days per week onsite. Candidates must be able to relocate as required. The role involves assisting in the development of project documentation, conducting requirements gathering, analyzing business processes, serving as a technical expert, ensuring design compliance with client standards, and performing necessary testing of assigned programs.

Requirements

  • Experience with Medicaid Claims Processing (5+ years)
  • Experience in business objectives and problems and identifying alternative solutions (5+ years)
  • Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and problems to automate processing and/or improve existing computer systems (5+ years)
  • Experience in writing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop and/or modify computer programs (5+ years)
  • Experience in cost/benefit analysis of systems and alternatives (5+ years)
  • Experience in analyzing and documenting input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reporting (5+ years)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and generation of wireframes (5+ years)
  • High level of sound logic and analytical ability difficult (5+ years)
  • Highly developed oral and written communications skills (5+ years)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in development of project documentation based on the Client's requirements and development of application online help
  • Conduct requirements gathering with non-technical Subject Matter Experts to understand business process needs and program requirements to create Use Cases, flow charts, acceptance criteria, and other documentation needed for system enhancements
  • Analyze new and existing business processes to determine how modifications and changes will impact the system
  • Serve as a technical expert responsible for working with non-technical and technical stakeholders to ensure clear and effective communication is maintained throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Ensure that design complies with the Client's standards
  • Perform necessary testing of assigned programs, including the generation of test data, writing test scripts/execution sequences, examining test results, and debugging detected errors
  • Use current software development methods/techniques and established development standards to ensure the quality and maintainability of applications
