Requirements

  • High School or GED (Required)
  • Junior or senior-level college student pursuing a degree in journalism or communications. Graduate level or postgraduate level applicants will not be considered.
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Professional and flexible self-starter and self-motivator, as this will be a hybrid position working both from home and in the office.
  • Some travel may be required, so reliable access to a vehicle is mandatory.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with AP style.
  • Familiarity with videography and editing a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Assists management and other staff in completion of various projects and long term assignments.
  • Information Gathering: Provides assistance to staff by gathering pertinent information to complete a project or task assigned. Information is gathered from internal and external sources such as the Internet. Responsible for compiling information gathered into a presentation format.
  • Provides other assistance and completes assignments specific to department as directed by management.
