Position Overview: Dutch Bros is looking for an individual to join our Social Media & Public Relations team for the summer Emerging Talent Program. The Social Media and Public Relations specialist will support a wide range of social media and public relations campaigns, projects and activities. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media, influencer marketing, public relations & partnerships. This role will support organic social media efforts and content creation, while crafting and distributing new shop assets. For the duration of the program (June 1st - July 31st) housing will be provided, however reliable transportation is needed to and from the program. Additionally, the program is rooted in professional development, full-time employment conversion is not guaranteed.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program and pursuing a degree in Marketing or Public Relations (or a related field), with graduation expected within the next year, or recently graduated within the past year.

  • Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions

  • Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.
  • Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds
  • Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.
  • Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.
  • Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.
  • Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support organic social media efforts and content creation: Create social posts for a multitude of platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, etc
  • Assist team with social content photoshoots
  • Assist in editing video content
  • Create trends reports on a weekly basis via social listening tools and organic methods
  • Compile competitive findings for weekly report
  • Edit and tag social sentiment via social listening tools
  • Find and save UGC on multiple social platforms
  • Support public relations and partnerships efforts: Craft and distribute new shop media assets
  • Ideate and assist with partnerships and activations
  • Field media inquiries
  • Create and schedule online content and posts
  • Draft and schedule content for Dutch Bros website
  • Sort media coverage
  • Compile weekly updates
  • Support Dutch Bros brand ambassador program(s) and reviewing content submitted by ambassadors
