The Media Relations Assistant position is a season-long, part-time opportunity for the 2026-27 AHL season. College credit can be accepted but is not required. The qualified candidate will be required to attend all Texas Stars home games, work remotely for away games, and fulfill up to eight additional office hours per week. The position will be responsible for assisting the Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations in game day preparation, press box management, and generating content for the team’s social media accounts and website. This is not a broadcasting position, but the right candidate could earn the opportunity contribute to the broadcast efforts for select games. This is an exceptional hands-on experience with a professional sports franchise and can be an instrumental stepping-stone in finding a full-time Communications or Media Relations position in the industry.
