About The Position

The mission of the Media Project Asset Manager is to lead and develop a collaborative, well-equipped Media team that delivers high-quality and engaging media experiences across all St. Luke’s campuses. As both a team leader and hands-on media professional, this position ensures the right people, skills, and resources are in place to support worship, events, and ministry projects with excellence. Through thoughtful staffing, volunteer development, and active participation in media production, the Media Project Asset Manager helps create environments and experiences that advance St. Luke’s mission to equip families and individuals to live and love like Jesus.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training
  • Professional media production experience (video, audio, live streaming, photography, or editing) combined with proven project management or team management experience.
  • Experience scheduling and coordinating production teams strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of worship live streaming, AV systems, and church production environments strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in task and project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Working knowledge of worship live streaming needs, AV, audio, video, photography, and editing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform under stress in live production and deadline-driven environments
  • Proficiency with scheduling and project management tools, or the ability to learn them quickly (Microsoft 365, Planning Center, eSpace)
  • Personally troubleshoot AVL systems for classrooms and services, and perform general maintenance of equipment so it is usable when scheduled.
  • Natural organizer who builds systems rather than managing by memory.
  • Clear, direct communicator comfortable giving assignments and feedback.
  • Calm under live production pressure.
  • Servant leader who develops others, including volunteers.
  • Sees team capacity holistically and matches people to work well.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and staff all Media team coverage, including Sunday worship production, weddings, funerals, video shoots, and special events across the Westheimer, Gethsemane, and branches campuses.
  • Manage the Media Technician team, including work assignments, time and capacity tracking, performance feedback, and development. Coordinate media and contractor scheduling in partnership with campus Media leads for Gethsemane and branches needs.
  • Create and maintain efficient staffing and scheduling systems that maximize team utilization and provide visibility into project pipelines and team capacity.
  • Work as a hands-on member of the Media team, contributing directly to production work such as live streaming, audio, video, photography, and editing as projects require. Ability to assign your skills to a project in a non leadership role.
  • Partner with the Communications Brand Manager to staff communications project needs and with the Technical Manager to staff technical and equipment needs; coordinate facility spaces and equipment use through eSpace.
  • Recruit, develop, and schedule volunteer media professionals to build sustainable bench depth for Sunday production.
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings with the Communications Brand Manager and Technical Manager, and in monthly Central Services project planning meetings.
  • Attend joint meetings with campus Media leads to maintain visibility into Gethsemane and branches coverage.
  • Support cross-training between Media and Communications staff.
  • Assist with project intake and cross department collaboration through the Communications Request Form and Video Request Form as it relates to media staffing.
  • Contribute to production quality standards alongside the Technical Manager.
