About The Position

Provides support to Media Productions teams. Aids in the creation of video content (producing, capturing, editing) for the University and departments. This is an initiative and project-based job position. Must exemplify the University Honor Code, including the dress and grooming principles and expectations. Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks. Must submit video/editing or photo examples to be considered.

Requirements

High School
3 Months of Directly Relevant Experience.
Understanding of cameras and video editing software is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects.
Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.

Responsibilities

Assists producers, writers, directors, and project managers with the details of producing a media spot or event.
Obtains technical understanding of lighting, storytelling, editing, and camera usage.
Communicates with management and team leads via project management software.
Communicates with University and department clients.
Prepare for and clean up after productions.
Assist with lights, equipment, sound, special effects, and similar technical activities.
Basic office support as needed.
Setting scenery as directed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
