About The Position

Global Relay is an innovative business, and this extends to our approach to developing highly engaging and informative video content for our prospects, customers, partners and employees. This content will support business development and align with our core marketing strategy, with the ultimate goal of building a consistent and engaging channel that showcases our products, expertise, and people to a broader audience than ever before. As a Media Production Coordinator, your role is essential to this new investment in an area that is key to the success of the business and its strategy. Global Relay is in the process of creating two state-of-the-art broadcast facilities: one based in London, and the other in New York. Our studios offer fully equipped recording and editing facilities with high-end, professional broadcast quality equipment. You will be based in our New York office with the possibility of occasional travel to our other locations. As the Media Production Coordinator, you'll be part of a dedicated team of talented, creative and technical staff working closely with our digital marketing team, in addition to other departments across the business, to produce high quality recorded/live productions for both internal and external consumption. You'll have a high degree of autonomy, while adhering closely to brand guidelines, to deliver against the stated brief. You may work on a variety of productions for both internal and external commercial consumption, including: Commercials Industry news and intelligence Corporate training videos for internal use Stock footage for use in Global Relay productions Live Events Documentaries Interviews

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in production coordination, live events, or broadcast studio environments
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; experience with production scheduling tools and workflows
  • Technical proficiency in video cameras, lighting, audio capture, and studio systems
  • Working knowledge of video switchers, audio mixers, signal routing, and general AV systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with executives, clients, and production teams
  • Confident working with on-camera talent and providing basic stage direction
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams and production sites
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and adaptable in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full production pipeline, ensuring all projects remain on schedule, on budget, and meet delivery deadlines
  • Create and maintain production calendars, workflows, and task assignments; track progress and manage timelines
  • Provide regular updates to the Broadcast Director and stakeholders on project status, deadlines, risks, and bottlenecks
  • Identify and address resource limitations; collaborate with cross-functional teams across departments and time zones
  • Schedule, organize, and participate in production meetings; record and distribute actionable notes
  • Act as a liaison between clients, internal teams, and crew to ensure accountability and clear communication
  • Coordinate shoots, book talent/guests, and provide script supervision
  • Process POs, RMAs, talent agreements, video equipment, and service requests
  • Stage, prep, and break down sets and event spaces; independently and collaboratively execute studio shoots and live events
  • Operate and troubleshoot multi-camera setups, exposure and framing, video switchers, audio mixers, light boards, teleprompters, graphics, and playback systems
  • Mic talent and guests, monitor audio levels, and provide basic stage direction to ensure smooth, professional delivery
  • Step into multiple technical roles as needed (technical director, floor manager, playback operator, etc.)
  • Log, archive, and manage media assets using consistent naming and storage protocols
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic audio/video issues in live and studio environments
  • Support the Broadcast department across projects, productions, and events while upholding high standards of storytelling, technical quality, and efficiency
