About The Position

Writes scripts, gathers, and writes news stories. Responsible for video and audio production, editing, camera operations and inventory control. Performs other special duties and completes special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• An additional four (4) years of experience in a related field is required.
• Knowledge of Word Processing software, Design software, Development software, Internet software, and Spreadsheet software.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
• Must have received Media Specialist and computer training.
• Working knowledge of computer graphics programs.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance practices for Digital or DSLR video equipment.
• Familiarity with standard three-point lighting techniques.
• Must be able to demonstrate non-linear editing experience.
• Experience in single and multiple camera video productions.
• Basic audio production skills.
• Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
