About The Position
Leidos is seeking experienced Media Exploitation Specialists to support an Intelligence Community customer in the National Capital Region through an open-source services contract. The role collects, evaluates, processes, and enriches open-source and emerging-technology information to support intelligence requirements and identify actionable insights. Specialists conduct research, assess sources, analyze trends, create and maintain structured data, synthesize findings, and produce intelligence products in accordance with customer standards and data management plans. The work focuses on open-source intelligence and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, generative AI, large language models, quantum computing, telecommunications, energy, semiconductors, data centers, financial technology, rare earth minerals, and advanced computing. The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and U.S. citizenship. It is based in the National Capital Region; no specific workplace arrangement is stated.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field with 8–12 years of prior relevant experience, or a master's degree with 6–10 years of prior relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience conducting research, evaluating sources, analyzing information, synthesizing findings, and producing written reports in accordance with established standards, or equivalent education or training in a relevant discipline.
- Strong knowledge of AI, generative AI, LLMs, advanced computing, global media environments, and emerging technology trends and developments.
- Experience with open-source intelligence gathering, social media exploitation, digital media research, publicly available information analysis, and source discovery and validation.
- Experience with web-scraping tools, advanced internet search methodologies, Boolean search logic, and digital information discovery techniques.
- Ability to work independently and within embedded customer teams.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate research findings, intelligence assessments, complex technical information, and strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities
- Monitor, evaluate, and exploit internet-based media and open-source information related to emerging technologies.
- Conduct comprehensive open-source research, discover sources, and assess source reliability.
- Identify and analyze emerging trends, patterns, relationships, and developments relevant to customer missions.
- Collect, analyze, synthesize, and summarize qualitative and quantitative information.
- Produce timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence products, including assessments, reports, analytical summaries, and customer-directed research products.
- Apply analytical methodologies to assess information reliability, identify significant trends and strategic insights, and evaluate mission impacts.
- Research and evaluate developments in emerging technology sectors, including GenAI, LLMs, quantum computing, telecommunications, energy and energy storage, semiconductors, data centers, FinTech, rare earth minerals, and other mission-critical technology sectors.
- Develop and maintain structured datasets and research baselines.
- Ensure information is accurate, consistent, accessible, and compliant with customer data management plans.
- Respond to customer-directed collection and research requirements.
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders and team members, communicate findings, and address intelligence gaps.
- Maintain awareness of evolving mission priorities, emerging threats, and technological developments.
