The Media Analyst is responsible for the planning, measurement, and optimization of media campaigns across digital and traditional platforms. You will analyze performance data, uncover insights, and help inform smarter media decisions that drive business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in media analytics, marketing analytics, or digital campaign reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • This position is based in Portland, OR. Must be open to relocation if not currently living in PDX.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Tableau, or other reporting tools is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of media platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, DSPs) and/or insights tools (Brandwatch, Talkwalker, GWI/MRI)

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and analyze media performance data across paid channels such as display, social, video, search, TV, and programmatic.
  • Build recurring and ad-hoc reports to track campaign performance against KPIs (e.g., CPM, CPC, CPA, ROAS).
  • Support post-campaign analysis and assist in identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with media planners, buyers, and creative teams to ensure data is actionable and aligned with campaign objectives.
  • Assist with A/B testing and learning agendas for media experiments.
  • Assist in audience segmentation and analysis.
  • Use analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, DSP platforms, Talkwalker or Sprout Social to extract data and insights.
  • Maintain dashboards and data visualizations to support key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and alert the team to anomalies or significant performance shifts in media campaigns.
  • Stay current on media trends, measurement practices, and industry benchmarks.
