About The Position

Responsible for providing quality care and services to all residents and their families. This role involves assisting with medication administration according to care plans and physician's orders, maintaining medical records, and ensuring resident comfort and dignity. The Med Tech also participates in in-service training and ensures compliance with all regulations and community policies.

Requirements

Must have a current NJ Medication Aid Certification AND a NJ CNA or HHA Certification
Able to work weekends

Nice To Haves

Minimum of six (6) months experience working with seniors in Assisted Living, Home Health, Hospital, or Long-Term Care environment preferred

Responsibilities

Provide assistance of medication administration for resident according to their care plan and physician’s orders.
Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication to residents and maintain related medical records under the delegation of the RN including supervision of the LPN.
Completes required annual medication training, per state requirements.
Completes company required medication training modules.
Provide resident care to ensure care needs are met according to the resident’s care plan.
Maintain medical records and written documentation assuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with federal and state regulations, certification standards, legal and ethical standards.
Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity in the delivery of services to residents.
Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled.
Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned, including care tasks/assignments as needed and delegated.
