About The Position

Harvest Homes has been a fixture in the St. Johns neighborhood of North Portland since 1965. For almost six decades, we have been touching lives with love by providing multi-level and multifaceted care in our assisted living and memory care communities. We take great pride in our long legacy of care, having served hundreds and hundreds of older adults over the years, and strive to always go the extra mile for our residents and give them a special place to call home. Harvest Homes was designed with the comfort of our residents in mind. Our tagline is “Touching Lives With Love.” For us, touching lives with love is not just a few words on a page. It is a daily call to action. We firmly believe that a strong community, excellent care, and a passionate commitment to serving seniors begin and end with love. Additionally, we are the first assisted living community in Oregon to earn the JCAHO accreditation. Care staff are the backbone of the organization and the first, last, and most frequent point of contact with residents each day. As a Med Tech with us, you'll assist our residents in maintaining their independence and quality of life by performing tasks and duties to support the residents' physical and psychological health. Additionally, you will promote the Harvest Homes culture by fostering resident engagement and belonging, encouraging individual choice, and creating opportunities where residents can experience purpose and self-fulfillment. To succeed in this role, you must have strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and an empathetic understanding of the resident and their history and strengths.
