About The Position

Allegro Winter Park is seeking a dedicated, certified Med Tech to join our Memory Care team. With both full-time and part-time openings on a rotating 2nd shift schedule — 3:00pm–11:00pm and 11:00pm–7:00am — this is an opportunity to bring your skills to a setting where consistent, compassionate clinical presence genuinely changes lives. The Medication Assistant is to provide resident care services including assistance with self-administration of medication, to the residents in the Assisted Living area under the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD) according to scheduled duties and assist in maintaining a positive physical and social environment.

Requirements

  • Valid Med Tech certificate — required
  • Prior experience in Memory Care — required
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation practices
  • A calm, patient, and compassionate approach with residents living with dementia
  • Dependability and comfort working rotating 2nd shift schedules
  • Genuine dedication to resident-centered care
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience with senior adults highly preferred.
  • May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on the state requirements; if licensed or certified, must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
  • Must possess current Medication Training certification.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in CPR and first aid preferred or as required by the State.
  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately administer medications per physician orders and individual care plans for Memory Care residents
  • Monitor resident health and document changes in condition promptly and thoroughly
  • Collaborate with nursing and care team on resident well-being and clinical needs
  • Support a safe, structured, and calming environment for residents with memory impairment
  • Communicate effectively with incoming shift staff to ensure care continuity
  • Uphold all regulatory requirements and community standards for medication administration
  • Able to approach all encounters with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Assist residents with medications as allowed under State guidelines.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care.
  • Work closely with and maintain daily communications with the Resident Services associates to ensure continuity of care and services is maintained for the residents.
  • Participate in resident activities and lead resident activities as needed.
  • Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, courteous manner with resident satisfaction a priority.
