About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring Med Techs and LPNs at The Residence at Silver Square. This is a part-time role with availability for the 7am - 3pm and 11am - 7pm shifts. Part-time associates working 24-29 hours per week will receive Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay. The role involves working with seniors and offers the possibility for tuition reimbursement.

Requirements

  • Ability to use a computer for documenting services provided.
  • Fluent in the ability to communicate in the English language, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrates computer literacy and familiarity with office software, including but not limited to word processing, or demonstrates the ability to learn data input.
  • Must have completed the course, as required by State Regulation, to administer medication.
  • CPR and First Aid training as mandated by the State employed.
  • Prior experience providing direct care or the equivalent in training preferred.
  • Current Med Aide or LMNA certification/license or completed required training as dictated by State Regulation.
  • Must maintain required certification/license and provide copies of the documentation to the Resident Care Director or designee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of Dementia is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense unit dose medications, making required record entries and notifying the nurse about self-administered medications.
  • Order and receive medications per State regulation and LCB policies and procedures.
  • Assist Residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including toileting, dressing, bathing, eating, and walking, as described in the service plan.
  • Monitor for changes in resident needs, preferences, and health status, and report/document any noticed changes to the RN or designee.
  • Assist Residents with clothing and laundry needs as per the service plan.
  • Supervise or assist Residents with activity programs.
  • Assist Residents in going to bed at night, when necessary.
  • Assist Residents with keeping their units neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Answer emergency calls and attend to Residents' needs promptly.
  • Participate in the community's regularly scheduled on-going in-service training programs and any specialized staff training programs and mandatory education requirements dictated by state regulations.
  • Assist with escorting residents to meals and activities as needed.
  • Document both scheduled and unscheduled services provided, including incidents, behaviors, and out-of-the-ordinary events, as well as resident refusal of services.
  • Input information into the community computer tracking system regarding services provided to residents.
  • Conduct and facilitate programming, including therapeutic groups and individual interaction, that offer cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity, and spiritual connection.
