About The Position
Medication/Caregiver staff at Somerset Assisted Living ensure residents receive medication as prescribed by their physicians. Medication staff follow resident care plans and physicians' orders to ensure resident safety and well-being while complying with all Federal, State, and Local standards for community operation. They incorporate Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into their daily work and interactions with others.
Requirements
- Medication administration certification (if required by state law).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a medication aide or caregiver.
- Experience in an assisted living or long-term care setting.
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
