About The Position

The Worker's Compensation Historian is responsible for obtaining a complete historical and comprehensive narrative of the examinees work related injury, treatment and present complaints.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years' work experience in Workers Compensation cases.
• Dependable and organized.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow up on assignments.
• Self-starter, proactive and works well with little supervision.
• Excellent analytical skills, likes to be accurate and attention to detail.
• Intermediate or higher skill level in WordPerfect and/or Word office.
• Associates degree or higher.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Orthopedics and Pain Management preferred.
• Bilingual is a plus, not essential.

Responsibilities

• Obtain a complete historical and comprehensive narrative of the examinee's work-related injury, treatment, and present complaints.
• Must have experience with Med-Legal Worker's Compensation reporting.
• Must have thorough understanding of AMC Guides 5th edition and Labor codes 4663 & 4664.
• Must be well versed with anatomic and medical terminology.
• Exhibit a high degree of professional excellence characterized by sound independent judgment, initiative and high standard of ethics.
