Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant II for a full-time, day shift position in OB/GYN Trenton. This role involves preparing patients for examinations, performing preliminary physical tests, taking vital signs, recording patient history, obtaining lab specimens, and assisting physicians and staff. The Medical Assistant II will also be responsible for maintaining exam rooms, managing supplies, performing clerical duties such as patient registration, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining medical records. Additional duties include performing electrocardiograms, point-of-care testing, verifying patient information, documenting medical information in electronic records, and coordinating with front office and ancillary staff. The role may also involve assisting with front office functions like check-out/check-in, referral processing, and patient education. Cross-training to perform Patient Reception Rep duties and NJPMP monitoring under the direction of a Licensed Independent Practitioner is also required. The position involves performing injections and other duties as assigned, with potential for assignment to other Capital Health Medical Group Practices.
