About The Position

CommIT Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a MECM/SCCM Administrator to provide Tier III Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM/SCCM) and Microsoft Intune support. This role involves installing Management Servers, Agents, reporting servers, and data warehouses, and configuring rules and alerts. The candidate will be responsible for the operation of a large enterprise MECM environment serving over 100,000 users, which includes Windows Server, Exchange, SharePoint, BMC Remedy, networking, PKI, and SSL. The infrastructure is a mixed environment of VMware and physical servers, requiring knowledge of VMware Virtualization and vCloud for specialized configuration management tasks. CommIT Enterprises, established in 2001, is a Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business (CVOSB) providing innovative technical engineering and data science services to clients like the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA).

Requirements

  • 5 Years of Configuration Management Experience
  • DoD 8580 IAT III certification (CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH)
  • Professional level certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) / System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the overall health of technologies associated with Service Manager.
  • Resolve all Service Manager Tickets escalated from the service desk including administrative activities and provide a weekly Messaging Status Report.
  • Provide documentation, guidance and instruction to the Tier 1 service desk for handling standard Event and Configuration Management related incidents, work orders, and service requests.
  • Submit and execute Event Management related Request for Change (RFC) tasks.
  • Coordinate incident tickets between Tier II and III sections as well as other sections as required.
  • Monitor the health of Event Management Infrastructure with Client provided event management tools.
  • Assist Government personnel in creating custom MECM and Intune configuration changes for Workstations and Servers.
  • Provide Client project support for Configuration Management related technologies.
  • Support the change management process; submit requests through Change Approval Board; participate in a Change Review Board.
  • Escalate product issues to third party product vendors upon Government approval.
  • Implement monitoring tool thresholds and conduct proactive event remediation.
  • Provide analysis and remediation for DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) for all responsible technologies in preparation for annual Commanders Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI).
  • Create and deploy MECM software packages as required and directed from PEO-D.
  • Observe and monitor all created deployments to ensure successful deployment.
  • Utilize Power BI to monitor health of MECM environment and deployments.
  • Manage and create custom endpoint configurations via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune.
  • Configure and implement Internet Information Service (IIS) security policies through understanding of Certificate and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
  • Assist the government in the creation of System and process diagrams.
