About The Position

Installs, maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, and calibrates automated, robotic, and electro-mechanical machinery. This role is crucial for minimizing downtime and ensuring customer quality through diligent maintenance and repair activities.

Requirements

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school plus minimum 3 years’ experience with maintaining/ repairing automated systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • HiLo and Arial licenses required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Has the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read blue prints, electrical prints, control logic and mechanical schematics.
  • The employee is frequently required to communicate, stand, walk, sit, handle, feel and reach.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and electrical hazards.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places.
  • The noise level is usually loud.
  • All proper PPE must be worn in all manufacturing areas and responsible for maintaining PPE standards.

Responsibilities

  • Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on automated equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, mechanical, and software issues, including vision software, in robotic systems and assembly machines.
  • Install, calibrate and commission new machinery and control systems.
  • Documenting maintenance, testing, and repairs, and maintaining detailed records of equipment performance.
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and replace defective equipment.
  • Examine equipment to detect imperfections.
  • Adjust functional control of devices and instruments.
  • Test equipment after repair or maintenance activities are completed.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment.
  • Generates follow up actions, based on PM results. Suggest changes to PM documents to reflect actual findings.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of all job-related Quality Objectives, Quality System Policies, Procedures, and Instructions.
  • Responsible for following work instructions for Kanban pull systems.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and safe condition, following 5S standards.
  • Follow established instructions and quality standards.
  • Responsible for the safety of self, teammates and product from damage and/or injury.
  • Ensure inspections are done in a timely manner, are thorough and complete.
  • Keep all safe guards in good working condition to provide a safe working environment.
