About The Position

As a Test & Validation Co-Op within Valeo's Mechatronics rotational program, you will develop foundational skills to become a world-class Validation Engineer in the automotive ADAS Systems industry. You will support the product validation lifecycle from RFQ to final customer acceptance, learning to ensure cutting-edge ADAS systems meet rigorous reliability standards. Requirements

  • Currently a student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A strong desire to specialize in National Instruments tools (LabVIEW/TestStand) and programming languages like Python or Java.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents or schematics.
  • A "think on your feet" attitude with the ability to react quickly to technical issues.
  • A methodical and self-motivated team player comfortable in a multinational environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting and peer collaboration.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing customer specifications and defining validation plans that meet both customer and Valeo quality targets.
  • Learn to use bench equipment and laboratory tools (thermal chambers, IPx) to understand delivered products and identify failures.
  • Gain hands-on experience in developing test scripts using NI LabVIEW and TestStand under the guidance of the Methods & Tools team.
  • Support the "Device Under Test" (DUT) failure analysis process and participate in weekly reviews with the project team.
  • Assist in generating test reports, conducting data peer-reviews, and maintaining project dashboards.
  • Contribute to the automation of test environment processes and the improvement of laboratory instruction sheets.
  • Participate in rotations including Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental Validation & Testing, and Warranty.
