About The Position

Valeo is a global tech company focused on developing innovative solutions for the future of mobility, including autonomous and connected cars. This role is a Test & Validation Co-Op within the Mechatronics rotational program, designed to develop foundational skills for a career as a Validation Engineer in the automotive ADAS Systems industry. The co-op will support the product validation lifecycle from RFQ to customer acceptance, ensuring ADAS systems meet reliability standards.

Requirements

• Currently a student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong desire to specialize in National Instruments tools (LabVIEW/TestStand) and programming languages like Python or Java.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents or schematics.
• A 'think on your feet' attitude with the ability to react quickly to technical issues.
• A methodical and self-motivated team player comfortable in a multinational environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting and peer collaboration.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the automotive ADAS Systems industry.
• Experience with thermal chambers and IPx testing.
• Experience with NI LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Experience with Python or Java programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer specifications and define validation plans.
• Use bench equipment and laboratory tools (thermal chambers, IPx) for product understanding and failure identification.
• Develop test scripts using NI LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Support failure analysis for the 'Device Under Test' (DUT) and participate in project team reviews.
• Generate test reports, conduct data peer-reviews, and maintain project dashboards.
• Contribute to the automation of test environment processes and improve laboratory instruction sheets.
