About The Position

Arrow International is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to support manufacturing, automation, equipment troubleshooting, and process improvement across our production operations. This role will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and Automation teams to support equipment performance, improve processes, troubleshoot technical issues, and help implement practical solutions on the manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate has a hands-on technical background with exposure to mechanical systems, electrical systems, automation, sensors, controls, robotics, or production equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their engineering career who enjoys working on the floor, solving real equipment problems, and continuing to build technical depth in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Hands-on manufacturing, automation, maintenance, engineering, technician, co-op, internship, or related technical experience preferred.
  • Exposure to mechanical systems, electrical systems, sensors, motors, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, PLCs, or automated equipment preferred.
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a manufacturing environment and supporting production floor issues.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, manuals, work instructions, or equipment documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and Operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • CAD, PLC, HMI, robotics, vision systems, or CMMS exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support troubleshooting and improvement efforts on manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and production processes.
  • Assist with mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues on the production floor.
  • Work with Engineering and Maintenance to identify root causes and support corrective actions.
  • Support equipment reliability, uptime, safety, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with automation projects involving sensors, conveyors, motors, controls, robotics, and related production equipment.
  • Help document equipment issues, process changes, work instructions, and technical procedures.
  • Support new equipment installation, testing, validation, and production ramp-up activities.
  • Assist with layout changes, equipment moves, tooling improvements, and production support projects.
  • Partner with Production teams to understand day-to-day challenges and help develop practical solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, throughput, waste reduction, and efficiency.
  • Help maintain and improve technical documentation, drawings, equipment records, and project updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
