About The Position

JLL is seeking a Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice to join their team. This apprenticeship program will train individuals to become Mechatronics Junior Technicians, responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic, mechanical, computer, control, and robotics/automation equipment in a complex Fulfillment/Distribution Center. The program includes comprehensive classroom, laboratory, and on-the-job training. Apprentices will learn to adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, work effectively in a team, utilize technical documentation and computer systems, and gain hands-on experience with material transfer conveyors, PLCs, and robotic systems. Upon completion of the apprenticeship, technicians will combine electronic, mechanical, computer, and control skills to work with complex manufacturing systems, perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure process efficiency and system functionality.

Requirements

18 years old or older with a high school diploma or GED.
Must meet the minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test.
Ability to travel to attend training at one of 3 training sites in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina or Texas for 12 weeks.
Basic computer skills, i.e. email, word processing, reading spreadsheets, internet browser basics.
Basic troubleshooting skills.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

1+ years of experience in basic preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting skills and repair methods of industrial machines.
1+ years of experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical basic components.
1 + years of experience with compressors and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

Install, alter, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, control, and robotics/automation equipment, systems, and components.

Combine electronic, mechanical, computer and control skills.
Work with complex high-performance manufacturing systems.
Analyze, troubleshoot and repair systems to maintain process efficiency.
Understand and analyze the technical specifications of mechatronic systems, subsystems, modules and components.
Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance.
Use troubleshooting skills to identify and prevent possible problems and failures, and to systematically and intelligently make repairs.
Incorporate relevant technical literature into the understanding of system operation.
Coordinate efforts with other technicians involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components.
Install, repair, adjust, and test equipment and components to ensure that systems function properly.
Communicate with machine operators, and operate equipment to detect equipment problems, analyze malfunctions, and verify system problems.
Observe and incorporate safety standards and regulations required for safe operation of the system.
