About The Position

The Mechatronic Technician II, under the guidance of AMRE Leadership, is integral to the maintenance of our technical equipment, building and critical support systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation and reliability of Cencora’s assets. Responsibilities are diverse and include, but are not limited to, advanced mechanical and electrical/controls knowledge, demonstrating technical aptitude, utilizing strong analytical skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. The Mechatronic Technician II must be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in exceeding expectations while leveraging their expertise to make significant contributions to the operational excellence of the assigned facility.

Requirements

  • Completion of an associate degree program, trade program, or equivalent combination of experience and education is preferred, but not required
  • 3-5 years of related experience with progressive responsibilities or a combination of education and experience.
  • Moderate experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
  • Basic to moderate experience in electrical and controls systems
  • Moderate understanding of automated systems, equipment and overall theory of operation
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair effectively
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge and understanding while performing repair tasks in projects related to warehouse operations, warehouse design, warehouse and business systems, process improvement and standardization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and cross-functional teams
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Proficiency in EAMS systems and technical documentation practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to communicate (and work) effectively with people from different technical and business backgrounds, acting as a liaison, understanding, and appreciating different perspectives and translating into terms necessary for any group or individual to understand
  • Read and understand mechanical/electrical drawings, diagrams, electrical schematics, blueprints and piping diagrams

  • Ability to understand and discuss information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes basic understanding for technical and non-technical audiences

  • Proficiency with basic software such as Microsoft office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of architectural, mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP), construction or industrial engineering principles including industry regulations (e.g. ISO, CE, UL, OSHA, ANSI)
  • Capable of simultaneously balancing and accomplishing a variety of tasks

Responsibilities

  • Installation and setup of mechatronic systems under limited supervision
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, procedures independently with occasional guidance
  • Participate in training programs to develop advanced mechanical, basic electrical and control’s technical knowledge
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities according to work instructions
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems with minimal assistance
  • Troubleshooting and repair electrical equipment and controls systems with some supervision or assistance
  • Repair and rebuilding of equipment with limited supervision or assistance
  • Performs regular inspections of building and critical support systems to ensure proper operation
  • Carries out routine maintenance tasks to support proper operation of building and critical support systems
  • Assist in the diagnoses and repair of issues with building and critical support systems
  • Conduct safety inspections and maintain records to ensure compliance with policy and safety standards
  • Navigational knowledge, understanding and use of Building Automation System (BAS) and troubleshooting with limited assistance
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, parts usage, and inventory levels within EAMS (Enterprise Asset Management System) to comply with regulatory requirements and ensure the optimization of maintenance inventory
  • Train and instruct less experienced personnel on mechanical systems, basic electrical and controls, safe work practices, proper repair procedures and equipment operation
  • Support and comply with all appropriate policies, procedures to promote a safe, accident-free and healthy work environment
