Mechanical Testing Technician (1st shift)
About The Position
Element is hiring a Mechanical Testing Technician to join its aerospace testing team at its Cincinnati laboratory. The facility supports testing of metals, composites, and advanced aerospace materials, including fatigue, fracture mechanics, monotonic loading, and extreme-environment testing. The technician will prepare specimens, conduct mechanical tests, verify data, and maintain laboratory equipment while supporting safe and efficient operations. The role offers exposure to aerospace materials and opportunities to develop testing skills while working with senior technicians or under supervision as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Proactive, team-oriented mindset.

- Basic algebra and geometry skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare test specimens and perform mechanical tests according to customer and industry standards.
- Collect, record, and verify accurate test data.
- Inspect, maintain, and calibrate test fixtures and laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory safety, organization, and efficiency.
- Work alongside senior technicians or under supervision as needed.
