Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 1+ Year of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing production and/or quality
  • Familiar with micrometer, calipers, microscopes and other measuring equipment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Must be willing to work the scheduled shift and may need to train on an alternate shift.
  • Overtime may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • One to three years’ experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Technical degree or certification is great to have
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures.
  • Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.
  • Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tensile testing per standard work
  • Receive in and perform final inspection/measurements of tensile test specimens
  • Reviewing and reporting of tensile data
  • Fabrication of thermocouples
  • Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testing
  • Receive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracy
  • Sort priorities as needed
  • Comply with all training required, including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work.
  • Log testing data in UGA (as needed)
  • Maintain required log books
  • Check/ validate testing accuracy
  • Perform 6s each shift
  • Engage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings
  • Complete all training within the expected time given
