Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will work in conjunction with product and project engineers to design, develop, and support Integrated Products Engineering Units assembly and testing team. To maintain our role as a global leader of compression solutions we continually seek talented and ambitious technicians to work in our engineering laboratories. We are seeking a 1st shift laboratory technician to contribute to our growth and continued innovation.

Requirements

  • Associates degree, HVACR certificate plus two to three (2-3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have HVAC, mechanical, and electrical skills relative to the role.
  • Must have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Follow engineering laboratory instructions to perform unit builds (both standard and non-standard) and testing.
  • Fabricate test fixtures and controls required for standard and non-standard IPD unit builds and testing.
  • Support the Integrated Products team with customer samples and support.
  • Support IPD production build part modifications and pilot builds.
  • Perform various 5S and other lab safety tasks related to the upkeep of the lab.
  • You will be responsible for completing assigned tasks or testing and communicating results with engineering and others.
  • You will provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab.
