About The Position

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Orla, TX. This role involves performing mechanical functions such as inspecting, checking, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing all mechanical equipment to ensure safe and productive equipment performance. The position is responsible for routine maintenance of pumps, motors, valves, and engines, as well as assisting with equipment replacements, foundation work, alignment, testing, and startup. The technician will work in process plants and remote field units, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards, and maintaining close contact with the Plant Manager regarding maintenance issues. Responsibilities also include performing remedial and preventative maintenance, maintaining facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping, participating in cross-training, utilizing precision tools and test equipment, performing regulatory inspections, and training others. This position includes a $10,000 Sign-on Bonus.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 3+ year's mechanical experience is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills is required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or be a contributing team member.
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of reciprocating engines and associated components is required.
  • Must have a current driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
  • Ability to read and understand, analyze and interpret documents, equipment repair manuals, reports and federal, state and local codes and regulations.
  • The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions is required.
  • Basic computer skills such as opening, creating and updating content in MS Word documents and Excel spreadsheets is required.
  • The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with other individuals, teams, customers, and stakeholders of the business, at various levels of the organization, in a business-like and professional manner is required.
  • Takes initiative and is proactive in addressing issues. Quickly and efficiently completes tasks.
  • The ability to demonstrate conscientiousness, dependability and commitment to the role, team and company.
  • The ability to take callouts and work overtime is required.
  • Must live or relocate within one hour of reporting location.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or equivalent training in a mechanical environment or energy-related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Routine maintenance of centrifugal pumps and electric motors such as bearing and seal replacements, alignments, couplings, sumps, fans, drain piping modifications, etc.
  • Maintenance on other mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, valve actuators, etc.
  • Maintenance and repair of reciprocating engines and associated components.
  • Assist with replacement of pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment as needed, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup.
  • Work in process plants or out on remote field units and associated components.
  • Review procedures as necessary to ensure compliance of all company and industry standards to meet all regulatory agency requirements.
  • Maintain close contact with the Plant Manager regarding maintenance trouble reports and scheduled equipment maintenance to affect a minimum interruption of product throughput.
  • Perform remedial and preventative maintenance and maintain facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices inside and outside of the facilities.
  • Participate in available cross-training to effectively develop skills in areas specific to other technicians.
  • Utilize precision tools and test equipment as needed.
  • Perform regulatory required inspections.
  • Train and guide others to learn duties of Mechanical Technician.
