Requirements

Proficient in using hand tools, air ratchet, drill, conduit binder, cutting torch, and motor test equipment
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work at elevated heights
Strong attention to detail for blueprint reading and quality checks
Comfortable working in high-temperature environments
Basic computer operation skills

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in stator winding or industrial assembly
In-house soldering certification (can be obtained on the job)
Familiarity with electrical test equipment and load testers

Responsibilities

Stack and press laminations to build unwound stators using a 100-ton horizontal press
Straighten stators with propane/oxygen torch and water or vertical press; lift and verify instruments up to 40 lbs
Wind stators by manually guiding copper magnet wire through laminations; handle multiple wire counts and housing sizes
Varnish stators by installing heavy tooling, operating a computer, and working safely on ladders or catwalks up to 35 feet
Manage stator temperature exposure up to 340°F during oven processes; adhere to strict safety protocols
Solder leads to magnet wire; achieve in-house Soldering Certification
Inspect stators by referencing blueprints and process instructions; perform quality and electrical tests throughout production
Assemble switchboards according to blueprints and conduct final testing with 3-phase load testers
