The impact you’ll make in this role As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll be responsible for supporting production operations, ensuring quality standards, and contributing to a safe and efficient plant environment. This role works a Rotating Shift (see options below) and includes starting pay of $36.13/hour: Option 1: Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM & Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Rotates between day and night shifts) Option 2: Morning Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM & Afternoon/Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Rotates between morning and afternoon/evening shifts). Manufacturing Operations: This position sits within Solventum’s Manufacturing Operations, specifically at one of our global production facilities, where our teams play a hands-on role in bringing life-changing healthcare solutions to life. Our plant teams are essential to advancing Solventum’s mission, ensuring the consistent, high-quality production of medical and dental products that healthcare providers and patients rely on every day. Requirements

  • Possess, or in the last six (6) months of pursing, an associate degree in Electro-Mechanics, Fluid Power, Energy Technology Machinist, Automotive, or Diesel Mechanic OR Possess a High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years of maintenance experience in Electro-Mechanics, Fluid Power, Energy Technology, Machinist, Automotive, or Diesel Mechanic

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of maintenance experience in Electro-Mechanics, Fluid Power, Machinist, Automotive, or Diesel Mechanic
  • Industrial motor drive controls troubleshooting experience
  • Electrical equipment experience
  • Industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and problem solving in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, repairing and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and components to include bearings, bushings, gear boxes, transmissions, motors, conveyor belts, pump seals, brakes, clutches, and drives.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
  • Performing basic machining using precision measuring equipment
  • Repairing and replacing piping, tubing, and associated fittings
  • Performing welding and fabrication tasks
  • Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.
  • Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
