About The Position

We are currently seeking an Engineering Technician to join Texas Materials & Processes RF Microelectronics Verification Design team. Hands on opportunity working in a factory and mechanical laboratory environment. Individual will support RF based production robotic cells, troubleshooting repairing and maintaining complex robotic systems. Opportunity to become knowledgeable in the programming and utilization of optical co-ordinate measurement machines (CMM), with progression to subject matter expert. Other duties will include documenting procedures, processes, and reporting of robotic cells health and maintenance requirements.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with 6 years of experience.
  • Experience working with pneumatics, and fluid systems.
  • Experience with automation, robotics, motion control, and other general use test equipment.
  • Ability to work from schematics, mechanical drawings and test requirements including written and oral instructions.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot failures on robotic test systems.
  • Respond to Production Interrupts associated with robotic cells in our on-site factories.
  • Trouble shoot, repair and maintain robotic cells in two high volume factories.
  • Identify trends in equipment failures and work with the appropriate teams to resolve in a timely manner to prevent future failures.
  • Work with automation team and test station development team to design and build new test stations and robotic handlers.
  • Other tasks necessary to meet team objectives.
