We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Mechanical Technician with a Machinist background to join our Production Engineering Team. Requirements

  • Machining skills using traditional and CNC equipment.
  • Ability to program CNC equipment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and constraints.
  • 3D CAD skills
  • Mechanical design skills using CAD Software for designing Production fixtures, jigs, and automation equipment for use in an Electronic Manufacturing Production environment.
  • Technical certification as a Machinist, Post-Secondary training as a Mechanical Engineering Technician, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of CNC Programming experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience operating CNC equipment.
  • 3-5 years of experience operating manual machinery.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Mastercam CAD/CAM Software
  • Experience with Haas CNC Equipment
  • Experience with SolidWorks CAD Software

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a Production Engineering team in a fast paced, competitive, growing electronic manufacturing environment.
  • Provide mechanical design and fabrication expertise when participating in Continuous Improvement, New Product Introduction, and automation projects.
  • Work closely with Production Teams to identify, design, and fabricate mechanical jigs & fixtures, to facilitate the manufacturing of our various products.
  • Design, fabricate and assemble fixtures, jigs, and custom assemblies.
  • Create and maintain new and existing CAD drawing packages to company and industry standards.
  • Program, operate, and maintain CNC Milling equipment.
  • Perform Manual Lathe and Milling Operations.
  • Maintain onsite Machine Shop and related equipment.
  • Following company information security policies is a required part of this role
