About The Position

The West Hershey Plant of The Hershey Company has immediate openings for Industrial Mechanical Technicians to work in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Primary duties of this position are mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment. Responsibilities include mechanical installation, setup, and repair. Compensation is established on a skill-based pay system.

Requirements

• A minimum of three years experience in the industrial, military, or owner/operator trades environment
• The successful candidate must be able to effectively function in a fast-paced team environment
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Associates degree in related field or minimum of 3 years of hands on experience in a manufacturing environment of relevant military experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Must be flexible to work any shift
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays and overtime
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Basic computer skills
• Job related mechanical skills will be assessed

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is preferred
• Experience with Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices is preferred
• Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is preferred
• Experience with Continuous Improvement methodology is preferred
• Experience with SAP Maintenance module is preferred
