About The Position

Ensure production equipment operates efficiently by performing equipment maintenance on a daily basis. This role requires a self-motivated, experienced, and dedicated individual capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions. The technician must be able to work 12-hour shifts and be available for overtime as needed.

  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical problems on industrial equipment.
  • Experience with MIG welding and Stick welding.
  • Ability to read mechanical prints.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and replacing AC and DC drives, temperature controls, and start/stop electrical controls.
  • Experience with troubleshooting PLCs.
  • Experience replacing and wiring 3-phase motors.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits.
  • Ability to read electrical, building, machine, and flow diagram prints.
  • Basic plumbing skills, knowledge of fittings and thread types.
  • Knowledge of all safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems on industrial equipment, including extruders.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair gear boxes.
  • Troubleshoot and replace bearings, chains, belts, and pulleys.
  • Perform MIG welding and Stick welding.
  • Drill and tap threaded holes.
  • Read mechanical prints.
  • Troubleshoot and replace AC and DC drives, temperature controls, and start/stop electrical controls.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs.
  • Replace and wire 3-phase motors.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits.
  • Read electrical, building, machine, and flow diagram prints.
  • Perform basic plumbing, including knowledge of fittings and thread types.
  • Comply with all safety rules and procedures.
  • Maintain and complete all required records.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by Supervisor.
