About The Position
This position is for the operation of Laser Seal equipment for hermetic seal of microelectronic devices. Responsibilities include checking equipment for proper operation prior to use. Preparation of parts for laser welding and seam seal. Fixturing, set up, and laser weld of microelectronic packages and components. Set up and parallel seam seal of microelectronic hybrid packages. Set up and laser marking of parts. Leak testing of hermetically sealed parts. Detection and reporting of defective materials and welds. Documentation of work performed.
Requirements
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, process instructions, and routers.
- Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Computer competency and English literacy.
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- 2 years of Mechanical Technician-mircroelectronic work experience
- Must be able to obtain a secret clearance
