As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a team of mechanical engineers and designers delivering high-quality designs for technically challenging and rewarding projects. We expose our engineers to a variety of complex projects, arming them with experience, resources, and support to succeed.

Requirements

  • BS (required) or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 5–10+ years of relevant experience in HVAC/mechanical system design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience with HVAC load calculation and energy modeling software
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering fundamentals to complex systems
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or laboratory environments
  • Hands-on experience with regulated or high-performance facilities
  • Exposure to both consulting engineering and owner-side environments
  • FE / PE Licensed preferred or actively pursuing licensure
  • Interest in mentoring junior staff and contributing to team development

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering analyses, including HVAC load calculations, air and hydronic system sizing, and pressure/flow modeling
  • Support the layout and design of HVAC and central utility systems through field investigations and coordination with design teams
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines, architects, clients, and contractors to align design intent and project requirements
  • Conduct facility assessments, infrastructure evaluations, and support utility master planning efforts
  • Develop key design deliverables such as airflow diagrams, pressurization strategies, and zoning/classification plans
  • Prepare equipment specifications and evaluate vendor submittals for compliance with project and client standards
  • Respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and participate in construction-phase activities, including punch lists and field observations
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on controls and automation integration for mechanical systems
