Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement maintenance on chillers, dry-coolers, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, CRAC units, BCUs, supply fans, exhaust fans, and unit heaters.
  • Manage scheduling and prioritization of facility engineering tasks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of plumbing systems including domestic water, water heaters, water softeners, pumps, PRVs, backflow preventers, and drinking fountains.
  • Supervise plumbing-related tasks and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Be available 24/7 to lead emergency operational support (mechanical, plumbing, and electrical emergencies, including Radomes), ensuring swift response and resolution.
  • Coordinate emergency response teams and manage crisis situations effectively.
  • Collaborate with Civil Engineering teams and external vendors to design and lead facility projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships to optimize resource allocation and project outcomes.
  • Engineer replacement projects for end-of-life equipment, seek out potential upgrades, and assist with the installation of cooling systems for new rack installations.
  • Lead the design and quality control of new or upgraded projects, ensuring alignment with facility needs and standards.
  • Ensure performance of snow and ice removal duties around the facility to ensure safe and accessible pathways.
  • Oversee snow and ice removal operations, coordinating staff and resources during inclement weather.
  • Supervise daily tracking of the facility's health to preemptively address any issues.
  • Develop and implement monitoring protocols to optimize facility performance.
  • Mentor & assist SST team members with daily tasks as needed.
  • Aid IT operations by pulling wires and escorting personnel.
  • Provide backup support to the facility manager, ensuring seamless operation during absences or vacations.
  • Manage and mentor team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the mechanical and plumbing teams.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring efficient use of resources and personnel.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide training and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set goals, manage budgets, and improve operational processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
