About The Position

The Honeywell Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Manufacturing and Design Engineering team designs and manufactures specialized Coil Wound Heat Exchangers and other natural gas liquefaction equipment. The equipment is designed by our engineering organization and fabricated at our manufacturing facility in Port Manatee, FL, or other domestic and international third-party facilities. Our customers utilize this equipment to liquefy extracted natural gas, significantly enhancing its transportability as an energy source to end users globally. The Mechanical Systems Engineer II will be based in our Honeywell LNG Headquarters located in Allentown, PA on a hybrid basis. You will contribute to the LNG Manufacturing and Design Engineering (MDE) – Piping and Structural Design & Engineering (PSDE) team and other disciplines within the LNG organization. For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F. The successful candidate will be one of the key members of the MDE team with responsibility for the selection, specification, and technical requisition of mechanical components within Honeywell LNG’s proprietary liquefaction systems. The candidate will be responsible for the specification and design of plant-size systems utilizing components including piping, fittings, valves, insulation, coatings, and specialty in-line items. Additionally, they will interpret regulatory and customer specifications, manage supply chain technical aspects, system pressure testing, and any design breaks. The incumbent will ensure that all mechanical systems comply with engineering standards, industry standards, safety regulations, project specifications, and company policies. The position requires occasional domestic and international travel.
