About The Position

Join an industry-leading industrial manufacturer celebrating 40 years of stability, zero layoffs, and consistent market growth. Bridge the gap between engineering theory and shop floor reality by creating clear, precision-driven 2D mechanical systems designs. Our client is a highly respected, financially powerhouse manufacturer that engineers sustainable, cost-saving industrial systems designed to reduce pollution and fossil fuel consumption. Because their high-efficiency systems pay for themselves in less than two years, market demand is consistently growing. In their 40-year history, this company has never had a single layoff. This position is open solely due to company growth and offers a refreshing, collaborative culture that is entirely free of corporate politics. Operating out of a pristine, modern, and lean manufacturing facility, the company prioritizes a family-friendly atmosphere where your individual contributions are visibly connected to the final product. You will have the unique satisfaction of working just steps away from the production floor, allowing you to walk out and see your custom designs physically come to life.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of dedicated, professional experience executing high-precision 2D mechanical designs within an active manufacturing, industrial machinery, or structural steel environment
  • A deep instinct for how assembly drawings translate to raw manufacturing, paired with a genuine interest in collaborating closely with fabricators and assembly technicians
  • A rock-solid work history that reflects career longevity and commitment, averaging at least three years of tenure per previous employer
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with industrial clients, project managers, and shop floor supervisors alike
  • Must be a United States Citizen or Green Card holder

  • Developing comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) and structured sales order job packets to efficiently guide production teams from design approval through final assembly
  • Collaborating directly with the production floor, visiting the manufacturing grid to view your assigned projects in progress, and updating "as-built" master drawings post-shipment
  • Serving as a key technical point of contact for clients, answering engineering and design questions during the submittal process to secure "approved for production" sign-offs
  • Utilizing internal custom AutoCAD commands and localized department protocols to maintain drafting structure while providing technical guidance to peers on complex design inquiries
