About The Position

The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer to become part of the Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Aeronautical systems Integration & Test (ASIT) team in Berkeley, MO. You will enable the ASIT organization to continue to advance its technologies in support of our Air Dominance, Phantom Works & Weapons programs. The team is responsible for developing integration test assets, real-time software test environments, subsystem/system testing, and evaluating system performance in simulation lab environment. Simulation and modeling are utilized to assist in requirements development, software and hardware development, and equipment verification and validation.

Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
  • 5 or more years of experience with engineering and design software (i.e. CAD/3D packages (UG/NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.))
  • 5 or more years of experience in mechanical engineering design and analysis
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • Experience with Mechanical Systems Design including electro-mechanical and flight control systems

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for releasing drawings in TeamCenter
  • Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design
  • Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups
  • Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
  • Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals
  • Supports system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation
