About The Position

As the Mechanical Source Inspector, you will act on behalf of Verify's customer, ensuring compliance of products through in-process and final inspections. You will be trained on customer processes and requirements to ensure all standards and specifications are followed. This role involves supporting reporting and communication to all stakeholders regarding issues and non-conformances. The quality inspector will support on-site at single or multiple supplier facilities to perform documentation, visual, and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies. You will validate that all products and paperwork are compliant with engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications. Additionally, you will inspect Certificates of Conformance from material, external suppliers, and other service providers to ensure conformity to customer purchase order requirements and specifications. The role requires performing a wide variety of conventional/traditional inspection operations utilizing various inspection techniques and reporting via operating systems for Customer and Verify, communicating any non-conformance while providing reject or rework disposition. You must be willing to utilize a personal laptop to complete customer inspection records within the SAP platform and Verify's reporting platform.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience with inspection of tight tolerances.
  • At least 5 years of experience with complex assemblies and Large Mill Turn Parts.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Special Processes.
  • Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with the AS9102 standard.
  • Knowledge of AS9102 standard and complete review of technical data package for full traceability of documents.
  • Experience using various inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Possess soft skills to clearly communicate non-conformances internally and externally.
  • Computer savvy and willing to use personal laptop to complete inspection reporting via SAP platform and SPP (Supplier Performance Platform).
  • Willing to utilize personal cell phone.
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Possess all PPE required per suppliers safety requirements.
  • Able to stand, sit, kneel, maneuver.
  • Able to lift at least 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding certification is preferred.
