University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors, Inc. is currently seeking an individual for a full-time position as a Mechanical Senior Project Manager located in the San Diego area. Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a project manager with full mechanical contracting or related construction firms
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial related projects
  • Minimum 5 years of preconstruction/design-assist experience
  • Proven experience in management of healthcare, data center, lab, higher education and semi-conductor projects. Contract value range of $15M-200M
  • Experience working with job sites in healthcare is preferred
  • Able to effectively operate the following computer software programs: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Viewpoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced multi-task environment
  • Demonstrated ability to perform business mathematical functions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively manage time and details
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms
  • Ability to comply with all operating policies, procedures, executed Plans, and Programs
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees, vendors, and suppliers

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Chemical Engineering preferred
