About The Position

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join their growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site, working a 14/14 rotation. The company is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a significant copper development project in Canada, with commercial production expected in mid-2026. The project focuses on copper, zinc, gold, and silver, essential metals for the global transition to green energy. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in mining, heavy equipment maintenance, or industrial reliability.
• Strong understanding of reliability engineering principles, root cause failure analysis, and condition monitoring techniques.
• Experience working directly in plant environments with trades and operations team (“boots-on-the-ground” approach).
• Outstanding organizational, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Communication, leadership, and mentorship skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficiency in maintenance software (CMMS) and computer applications.
• Must be legally able to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Saskatchewan or eligibility to obtain registration.

Responsibilities

• Providing project engineering support to site operations, projects, and other business units.
• Improving equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance strategies, and reducing downtime across mobile and fixed assets.
• Focusing on the execution and technical support of non-routine maintenance projects.
• Supporting multiple, concurrent efforts in various stages of execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Guiding maintenance strategies and supporting data-driven decision-making.
• Leading Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA) for major component and equipment failures and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Optimizing Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce unscheduled downtime.
• Reviewing oil analysis, inspections, and condition monitoring data to detect emerging issues.
• Developing reports and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to both site teams and customers.
• Leading engineering scope, schedule, and budget to support successful project delivery.
• Serving as the technical lead and primary point of contact during design, construction, and commissioning.
• Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and resources across internal groups and external consultants.
• Facilitating and leading design reviews to ensure alignment, constructability, and quality of deliverables.
• Preparing and overseeing scope of work documentation, tender packages, and capital cost estimates.
• Supporting procurement activities including bid evaluations and post-award technical guidance.
• Ensuring all technical work meets Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations.
• Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates on engineering activities and deliverables.
• Troubleshooting technical challenges and implementing practical, results-driven solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborating with site teams and stakeholders to align project objectives and support field execution.
