About The Position

Praetorian Power Protection, the leader in NETA testing and staff-augmentation to the mission critical industry, is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join our Pryor Oklahoma. This individual will own mechanical scope from preconstruction through substantial completion managing HVAC, plumbing, chilled water, and mechanical equipment delivery on hyperscale and colocation builds.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of mechanical construction project management experience
  • Demonstrated data center or mission critical facility project experience
  • Deep knowledge of chilled water systems, HVAC, and precision cooling infrastructure
  • Proven ability to manage $20M+ mechanical subcontracts
  • Strong command of mechanical drawings, specifications, and system documentation
  • Proficient in project management and scheduling software (Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, and relevant mechanical codes

Responsibilities

  • Lead all mechanical scope on ground-up or expansion data center projects, including HVAC, chilled water systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipment installation
  • Manage mechanical subcontractors from bid/award through commissioning and closeout, holding trade partners accountable to schedule, quality, and safety standards
  • Oversee coordination and installation of precision cooling systems (CRACs, CRAHs, in-row cooling, roof-mounted chillers, cooling towers, and associated piping)
  • Drive mechanical Project Management Software coordination with trade subs, the GC team, and MEP engineers — resolving conflicts early to protect schedule and budget
  • Manage procurement and expediting of long-lead mechanical equipment (chillers, AHUs, pumps, cooling towers, pipe/valve packages)
  • Track mechanical scope against cost budgets and forecasts; prepare change orders, RFIs, and submittals with the project team
  • Interface with the Owner's commissioning and Cx agent teams to ensure all mechanical systems are properly tested, balanced, and handed off
  • Enforce safety programs and site-specific safety plans in coordination with the site superintendent and EHS team
  • Support scheduling and sequencing efforts for the mechanical package within the master project schedule (P6/Primavera experience a plus)
