About The Position

As a Mechanical Project Engineer in our Energy & Utilities group for our Seattle/Portland office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all. In this role, you will be involved with the design of central utility systems (steam, hot water, chilled water) for projects such as large campuses and healthcare facilities. These systems may include traditional thermal sources and variety of sustainable thermal sources including geothermal, sewer water, electrode boilers, deep lake systems, and many others. Within this role, you will provide overall project engineering leadership on Energy and Utilities projects, support deep analysis of options, develop and present engineering solutions to meet client requirements and lead the team in implementing the solution.

Requirements

  • BSME (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
  • 15+ years of experience in the consulting engineering industry.
  • Experience in utility plant design and/or test cell design.
  • Strong spoken and written communications skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective working individually and within team environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional engineering registration preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
