About The Position

The Mechanical Engineer will support the execution of semiconductor and high-tech facility construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating mechanical installation activities, supporting subcontractor management, tracking project progress, resolving field issues, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience supporting mechanical construction, MEP construction, industrial construction, or related projects.
  • Experience working on active construction sites.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, trade coordination, and field execution.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and construction safety requirements.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, or high-tech facility construction projects.
  • Experience with mechanical utility systems, process piping, HVAC, UPW, WWT, or related facility systems.
  • Experience with system startup, commissioning, and turnover activities.
  • Previous experience supporting TSMC or similar semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM, Navisworks, or related construction software.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction activities on site.
  • Assist with project scheduling, budget tracking, procurement coordination, and progress reporting.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for constructability and compliance.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to support field execution.
  • Track RFIs, change orders, punch list items, and field modifications related to mechanical systems.
  • Conduct field walks and inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with project requirements.
  • Support system testing, commissioning, startup, and turnover activities.
  • Coordinate required inspections and testing with Superintendents, QA/QC personnel, and project teams.
  • Identify and help resolve field issues affecting schedule, quality, or safety.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and prepare project status reports.
