The Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the successful planning and execution of mechanical projects through material coordination, quantity takeoffs, procurement/buyout support, submittal development, and design coordination. The Mechanical Project Engineer works closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Estimating, Procurement, vendors, and field personnel to ensure materials and technical information are identified, reviewed, approved, purchased, and available when required by the project schedule. A key responsibility of this position is to proactively identify design conflicts, missing information, constructability concerns, and material risks before they negatively impact procurement, fabrication, or field installation. The Mechanical Project Engineer is expected to maintain ownership of assigned coordination items from identification through resolution.
